Frequently Asked Questions

Session Details?

I am a mobile Play Therapist working across Buckinghamshire and Berkshire, providing therapeutic support to private clients within their school setting or through direct school referrals and employment.

Sessions are delivered on a weekly, one-to-one basis in a safe, confidential environment. Children are typically offered an initial block of 12 sessions, each lasting 40 minutes.

A review is carried out midway through the intervention to reflect on the child's progress and consider whether a further block of 6 or 12 sessions would be beneficial.

As play therapy is a gradual therapeutic process that requires time to build trust, explore emotions, and facilitate meaningful change, support often continues beyond the initial 12 sessions. The length of therapy is always guided by the individual needs of the child.

How do I get started?

Getting started is simple. Just get in touch via the contact form or email me at orva@me.com.

I aim to respond to all enquiries as promptly as possible, usually within 48 hours :)

Therapeutic Toolkit?

Therapeutic play takes place in a private, nurturing playroom using a range of carefully chosen resources which support safe expression:

  • Art, painting, clay and sensory play

  • Sand tray and miniatures

  • Puppets and therapeutic stories

  • Music and movement

  • Meditation, mindfulness, and visualisation

Payment Options?

Sessions can be funded through school budgets such as EHCP or Pupil Premium, or paid for privately. If you feel play therapy may benefit your child, it can be helpful to discuss this initially with the SENCO at their school to explore whether funding may be available.

If you are a school looking to explore therapeutic support for pupils, please feel free to get in touch to discuss your setting’s needs.

Costings are available on request and may vary depending on factors such as whether an hourly or day rate is required, the number of clients being seen, and any travel involved.
